Managing your horse’s turnout to keep joints moving

During the winter months your horse may be suffering the aches and pains of arthritis. How do you manage their turnout to keep those joints moving?

Throwing small piles of hay around the paddock is a great way to encourage horses to move about. And place them away from their water! Horses tend to drink more when they eat hay, so moseying over to their water source a few times a day will get that walk going and loosen stiff joints.
